Credo College beat DHACSS College by five wickets in the under-19 cricket final of the PSSO National School Games, to lift the trophy in style on Thursday. The final was held at the DHA Sports Club of Moin Khan Academy. Hassan Iqbal and Dabar Sheikh were the outstanding batter and bowler in the final respectively and were given awards for their outstanding performance.
In the under-17 final, The Lab School beat Nixor O Levels to clinch the trophy. Public School Mirpurkhas finished third in the category.
Best Batsman award was given to Aleem Mohsin of The Lab School for his 187 runs while best bowler was Mir Sheikh of Wahaj Hussain School who bagged 6 wickets. Hassan Kamal of the The Lab School was declared as the best fielder while Player of the Tournament was Aleem Mohsin of The Lab School.
With the cricket tournament finals, the Pakistan School Sports Organization (PSSO) National School Games 2024 came to an end.
Over 110 schools and colleges from across Pakistan participated in 13 sports competitions including athletics, basketball, badminton, cricket, dodgeball, football, futsal, hockey, swimming, table tennis, tug of war, volleyball and archery, held at various venues in Karachi.
Former Pakistan Captain Moin Khan was the chief guest at the finals and commended Gohor Raza’s outstanding efforts in organizing the National School Games. The guests of honour on the occasion were Gohor Raza, President PSSO, M. Haroon, Executive member PSSO, Abdul Samad, Credo College Sports Coordinator, Athar Abbas, DHA Degree College Assistant Director.
