The 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup of cricket is taking place in the United Arab Emirates, where defending champions Australia are the team to beat.
The Australians have won six of the eight editions to date, with England winning the inaugural competition in 2009 and West Indies triumphant in 2016.
Heading to UAE, Australia have won the past three T20 World Cups, and they face India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka in Group A.
Group B consists of Bangladesh, England, Scotland, South Africa, and West Indies.
The group matches take place from 3-15 October, with the semi-finals on 17-18 October and the final on 20 October.
The T20 format of cricket will feature at the next Olympic Games – LA28.
