DENVER (KDVR) – A Denver hotel has been named one of the “Best Hotels in the World” in the 2024 Conde Nast Readers’ Choice Awards.
Limelight Hotel is located near Union Station on the corner of 16th and Wewatta Streets. It was formerly known as Hotel Born until the property was bought by the Aspen-based, Limelight Hotels, which is owned by Aspen One who also owns Aspen Skiing Company.
It officially reopened in May 2023 as Limelight Hotel.
The Denver hotel was not the only Colorado property on the top 50 list, which was determined using a survey of 575,048 votes cast by Conde Nast readers.

Gravity Haus Breckenridge, a boutique hotel that opened in 2019, came in at No. 8. According to Conde Nast, it has been on the reader’s choice awards list every year since 2020.
Hotel Jerome in Aspen, which is part of the Auberge Resorts Collection, was voted in at No. 20, while the Dunton Town House in Telluride came in at No. 25.
All four were also featured as the top four spots on Conde Nast’s top 15 hotels in Colorado.
The top 15 list, which was also part of the reader’s choice awards, includes several more properties in the Denver metro area like the Thompson Denver at No. 5, the Eddy Taproom & Hotel in Golden at No. 8 and the Halcyon in Denver at No. 12.
