ALBANY – Local PGA professionals T.J. King and John Fountain are rallying together to make a difference in the lives of children in south Georgia.
The Play Yellow Birdie Bash, a 72-hole scramble, will take place on Tuesday with the goal of raising funds for PGA REACH Georgia and select south Georgia children’s hospitals.
“The game of golf has given me so much, and I want to pay it forward. By coming together as a community, we can create a lasting impact on the lives of these children,” Doublegate PGA Golfer King said.
The Birdie Bash will feature PGA professionals competing in twosomes, aiming to make as many birdies as possible. Each birdie made will contribute to the overall fundraising effort.
King and Fountain, both Doublegate Country Club pros, are among the professionals participating in the event at the Frederica Golf Club at St. Simons Island. They have a goal of raising $5,000, which will go to Phoebe to help serve NICU and pediatric patients.
