ECB partners with Cognizant to enhance digital experience for recreational cricket – InfotechLead

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a partnership with Cognizant to enhance the digital experience for recreational cricket fans, players, and volunteers.

As the ECB’s Official Digital Technology Transformation and IT Consulting Partner, Cognizant will lead the development of integrated, user-friendly digital products aimed at streamlining administrative tasks and improving overall engagement within recreational cricket.

The collaboration is a key part of the ECB’s ongoing digital transformation, with the first phase set to be operational by 2025. Cognizant will work on simplifying systems for managing recreational cricket, making it easier for participants to connect with the sport.

Additionally, Cognizant will support the ECB’s broader digital initiatives, which include an annual innovation fund to explore new ideas for growing the game, focusing on areas like fan engagement, commercial growth, and infrastructure.

Alison Crowe, ECB Director of Digital and Data, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that Cognizant’s expertise will help transform the grassroots cricket experience.

Rohit Gupta, Managing Director UK&I at Cognizant, highlighted the company’s commitment to creating personalized digital experiences and deeper engagement for cricket communities across England and Wales.
