Enzo Le Fée talks Torino win, recovery from knee sprain and difficult start at Roma

Roma midfielder Enzo Le Fée spoke to the media in the aftermath of tonight’s win over Torino.

The French player gave a lengthy appearance in the post-match press conference following Roma’s 1-0 victory.

“Today was a difficult match and we needed a reaction like that after the heavy defeat against Fiorentina. The most important thing, on a collective level, was to show that we are a united and compact team.”

“It is in these moments of uncertainty that we can only get out of it by fighting together.”

“As far as I’m concerned, rationally, it was a match that I’ve been waiting for a long time. I know that the club is counting on me and I hope to meet their expectations.”

“We are Roma and we have to do better; we have demanding fans, and rightly so. We had a complicated start to the season, with a change of coach and a dismissal, but we players have to adapt to these situations.”

“Coaches change and many things happen in the life of a player. The most important thing is that, in a difficult moment, we remained united and continued to work.”

“Now we have collected the second consecutive victory at home, and this is the most important thing. We have to continue on this path.”

“Physically I feel better and better. I played better today, even without the brace, and I wanted to try again. I had no fear, no hopes or particular sensations. Now I am sure I will try to get back into the rhythm.”

“It is true that I struggled a bit towards the end, but that is normal, given that it has been a long time since I played a full match.”

“To answer the other question, in my opinion this team, both individually and collectively, is incredible. We have changed several players and the coach, but the objective remains the same: to reach the Champions League. The only way forward is to continue working, and we also need the support of our fans.”
