EPPD identifies man dead after East EP shooting

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department (EPPD) has identified the man who died after a shooting that happened early Sunday morning, Nov. 17 in East El Paso.

EPPD said Jerome Douglas Harper, 26, was identified as the man dead after a shooting that took place just after 4 a.m. on Nov. 17 at 6800 Bellrose. That is located near Airway and Viscount.

According to police, when officers responded to the scene and located Harper, he had died from an apparent gunshot wound.

The Crimes Against Persons Unit has taken over the investigation and is actively working to gather more information, according to police.
