Months before the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open at Erin Hills, the United States Golf Association announced that the course will host five more USGA national championships over the next 15 years.
Erin Hills was awarded the 2033 U.S. Women’s Amateur and the 2035 U.S. Amateur, the premier amateur events for one of golf’s governing bodies. The course was also awarded the 2027 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball and the 2039 U.S. Junior Amateur.
The Women’s Amateur and Four-Ball will be played in Wisconsin for the first time.
Since opening in 2006, Erin Hills has already hosted the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links (2008), a U.S. Amateur (2011), a U.S. Open (2017) and a U.S. Mid-Amateur (2022).
The U.S. Women’s Open will be held May 28-June 1 next year.

This announcement follows the awarding of the 2028 U.S. Amateur, the 2033 U.S. Junior Amateur and the 2037 U.S. Girls’ Junior Amateur to Whistling Straits in Haven.
Sand Valley Resort’s The Lido Course has already been selected by the USGA to hold the 2026 U.S. Mid-Amateur, 2029 U.S. Junior Amateur, 2030 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur and 2034 U.S. Girls’ Junior.
The next available date for a U.S. Open to be awarded to a course is in 2043, as the USGA has moved to “anchor” sites that have been rooted on the coasts. Only Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, has wedged its way in as a Midwest site (2034, 2051). After 2043, open dates include 2045, 2046 and 2048.
The U.S. Senior Open, which Whistling Straits (2007) and SentryWorld (2023) have hosted, does not have an opening until 2031 but has open locations from 2033-37 as well.
The U.S. Women’s Open, which has been hosted by Blackwolf Run (1998, 2012), does not have an open date until 2037.
