Ex-Roma player Marco Cassetti weighs in on Ranieri’s impact: “He gave the team confidence.”

Former Roma player and current assistant of Cesc Fabregas at Como, Marco Cassetti, previewed tomorrow’s showdown between the two teams.

“Now Ranieri has arrived, a coach with great experience who cares about the team,” he said to Serie A Preview.

“He is giving the team confidence through positive results, he brought that serenity to face games with a different attitude.”

“Roma has invested a lot of money: Dovbyk from Girona, Soulé who stood out at Frosinone. Then they have experienced players like Hummels and Hermoso, Koné in the midfield. And the historic core remains that can give a hand to the new ones.”

“They suffered at the beginning, now they seem like a team on the up. On Sunday I will be able to say with more accuracy what kind of team they are.”

“It will be a tough match, we need points and so does Roma. The Giallorossi want to return to competing in the areas they are used to, I hope it will be a good match.”
