Liverpool fans got their first glimpse of Federico Chiesa on Tuesday as he made his debut against AC Milan.
The Italian was handed his first minutes since his move to Merseyside in his home country as Liverpool dismantled the Italian giants in an impressive 3-1 victory.
Chiesa replaced Mohamed Salah in the 93rd minute.

The 26-year-old joined the Reds in the final days of the summer window after being frozen out of Thiago Motta’s plans with Juventus cashing in on the forward as he prepared to enter the final year of his contract in Turin.
Upon signing for Liverpool, Arne Slot deemed his new man as not fit enough to make the squad for their visit to Old Trafford in which Chiesa took to the stands to see his new teammates humiliate their arch-rivals in a 3-0 victory.
Chiesa then had to wait that little longer for his debut with the first international break arrived and instead of going to Italy’s latest camp, after a fair assessment with manager Luciano Spaletti, the winger stayed put on Merseyside to undergo a specific preparation programme ready for his debut.
After just missing out on the squad for Liverpool’s defeat to Nottingham Forest last weekend, Chiesa took to the stage as a Liverpool player for the first time in a stadium he is relatively familiar with, the San Siro.

Though the winger only had one touch in the dying embers of the game, completing one pass, Liverpool fans are excited to see what traits he will bring to an already frightening attacking force.
One thing that we can guarantee with Chiesa is lightning pace. Something Slot already has in abundance at his disposal with the likes of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah.
Chiesa’s pace on show for all to see
As Liverpool turn their attention to Bournemouth’s visit to Anfield on Saturday afternoon, footage emerged on Thursday afternoon that featured Chiesa’s blistering pace.
The Reds were put through their paces in one versus one races which saw the Italian face up against Wataru Endo.
Chiesa comfortably beat the Japanese international – despite not being the quickest opponent he could face – showing signs of what’s to come in a Liverpool shirt. Traces of training footage since his arrival suggest he could be a very smart coup.
