Ferry Division to host career fair

WASHINGTON – People are welcome to attend a career fair Feb. 12 in Beaufort County to learn about starting a rewarding new career with the North Carolina Ferry Division.

The career fair, hosted by the Ferry Division and NC Works, will be from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the NC Works Career Center, 1502 N. Market St., Washington.

Applications will be accepted for current and future positions at all experience levels, including entry-level parking lot attendants, office staff, shipyard tradespeople and experienced boat captains. Temporary and full-time permanent positions are available.

The Beaufort County career fair is the second of five to be held across eastern North Carolina. The first was held Feb. 7 in Shallotte. Others will be held at the NC Works Career Center in Wilmington Feb. 21; the NC Works Career Center in Morehead City Feb. 28; and the College of the Albemarle in Manteo March 6.
