Feyenoord defender Dávid Hancko agrees to Juventus move as Serie A giants plot January bid

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Feyenoord’s Dávid Hancko has said ‘yes’ to joining Juventus. The Serie A side are reportedly ready to offer the defender a contract valid until 2029, worth €2.5m per year in earnings. Feyenoord will do everything possible to keep hold of the defender as they consider the 27-year-old to be a crucial part in their fight for the title, or second place at least.

Dávid Hancko joined Feyenoord from Sparta Prague back in 2022 for just €8m. Since then he’s gone on to play a pivotal part in their success, featuring 117 times. The Slovakia international is one of Juventus’ top targets as they look to strengthen at the back, and Thiago Motta is said to be a big fan of the player.

Benfica’s António Silva is another option being considered by the club, with the players agent, Jorge Mendes, reportedly travelling to Turin this week to hold talks over a potential move. Hancko would provide strength, height and versatility to Juve’s back line. He can play as a centre-back or left-back. He’s currently valued at €35m, although Juve are keen to get him for less.
