Five-star 2025 guard Braylon Mullins commits to UConn men’s basketball

Date:

Five-star combo guard Braylon Mullins announced his commitment to UConn on Wednesday. Mullins, a 6-foot-5 guard from Greenfield, Indiana, is a consensus top-30 recruit who has seen his stock rise rapidly over the last few months. He joins fellow guard Darius Adams and big man Eric Reibe as the third commitment in UConn’s 2025 recruiting class.

Mullins chose the Huskies over North Carolina and Indiana. Like Adams, Mullins brings significant size to the guard position at 6-foot-5 and is widely regarded as a strong shooter with excellent range. True to the Dan Hurley mindset, Mullins has high basketball IQ and plays well off the ball offensively. Defensively, Mullins is a solid perimeter defender and loves to disrupt passing lanes, averaging almost 1.5 steals per game.

The combination of Mullins and Adams gives the Huskies one of the best backcourts in the 2025 recruiting class, and Reibe in tow vaults UConn’s 2025 class firmly into the discussion as one of the best in the country.

Hurley and the Huskies are at 13 scholarships for the 2025-26 season with the move but with the transfer portal and potential NBA defections, they likely still aren’t done on the recruiting trail for next season, and the back-to-back champions seem to have laid a strong foundation for yet another elite recruiting class to make its way to Storrs.
