North Carolina’s pursuit of recruits in the 2025 class continues on as Hubert Davis and his staff finally landed a commitment with Derek Dixon last week.

While it’s a good start to the 2025 class for the Tar Heels, they have more work to do in the class. And they have some big targets left on their recruiting board.

That includes five-star recruit Caleb Wilson. The Atlanta, Georgia product is one of the best players in the 2025 class and has 27 offers with some big programs after him, including North Carolina. Recently, Wilson talked to Eric Bossi of 247Sports for an update on is recruitment and where things stand.

Here is what he had to say about the Tar Heels:

“I love UNC. I love their culture and I love their fanbase. I feel like it would be an opportunity that would be hard to pass up and I feel like they have a great coach with a great system and culture. They need another big player to come in and help them next year.”

He has a lot of programs involved and is taking visits including to UCF this weekend, Alabama, and Georgia Tech. He’s already visited UNC and Kentucky in the process as well.  This is a tough recruitment to read but judging by Wilson’s comments, UNC has impressed him.

Let’s see if UNC can pull through at the finish line.
