Florida weather forecast ranges from above-normal temps to near freezing. How low will it go?

Date:

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.

Well, it will in a few days.

A couple of cold fronts are approaching Florida. The first one is bringing with it plenty of rain for some locations, especially east-central portions of the state but not much difference in temperatures.

The second front is expected to arrive right before the weekend, sending temperatures down sharply for the last shopping weekend prior to Christmas.

By Saturday morning, the “feels-like” temperatures will be in the upper 20s to low 30s in the Panhandle and Big Bend region, according to the Florida Division of Emergency Management. Even in South Florida, temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 40s and 50s.

Before the really cold weather arrives later this week, expect more “typical” Florida weather: plenty of warmth, showers and even thunderstorms.
