Lycksell, 25, is having a strong season with the Phantoms, posting nine goals and 24 points in his first 25 games. This is after he had 19 goals and 39 points in 38 contests with the AHL squad last season.
Lycksell has also been on fire with the Phantoms leading up to this recall. Over his last four games, the 2017 sixth-round pick has eight points. This includes scoring a hat trick and recording an assist in the club’s latest contest against the Toronto Marlies on Dec. 20.
It will be fascinating to see how much of an impact Lycksell can make during this latest chance with the Flyers from here. In 26 career games over two NHL seasons with Philly, he has one goal, five assists, and a minus-3 rating.
