The Toronto Maple Leafs, on the other hand, have a 24-13-2 record and are at the top of the Atlantic Division standings. With this, they are expected to be big-time buyers once we get closer to the trade deadline.

The Maple Leafs are looking to improve their depth down the middle, and because of this, they could very well end up considering the Flyers a good potential trade partner.

One Flyers center who has created trade chatter this season is Morgan Frost. The 25-year-old forward has been connected to the Maple Leafs this season and could be a potential answer for their third-line center spot.

In 34 games this season, Frost has seven goals, 18 points, and a minus-10 rating. He is also a pending restricted free agent, so he will still be under team control this upcoming off-season.

However, Scott Laughton could also be a player that grabs the Maple Leafs’ attention. The 30-year-old forward is built for playoff hockey, as he plays a heavy game and is very solid defensively. He also contributes offensively, so he could be another strong option for the Leafs’ 3C role.

Laughton has eight goals, 21 points, and 83 hits in 38 games this season. He is also signed until the end of the 2025-26 season, carrying a $3 million cap hit.
