Team Canada has made their final cuts from their World Junior Championship roster, and Philadelphia Flyers prospect Denver Barkey was among them.

Earlier this month, Barkey was named to Canada’s preliminary roster for the tournament. However, he did not make it through the final cuts.

Barkey, 19, is having another excellent season in the OHL as captain of the London Knights. In 23 games, the 5-foot-10 forward has five goals and 31 points. This includes nine points over his last five games and 20 points over his previous 10 contests.
While Barkey did not make Canada’s WJC final roster, there is no question that his future is looking incredibly bright and that he is one of the Flyers’ most exciting prospects.
Although Barkey did not make Canada’s final roster, fellow Flyers prospects Jett Luchanko, Oliver Bonk, and Carson Bjarnason have.
