Paris Saint-Germain and OGC Nice played to a 1-1 draw, and one of the standouts was former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombélé. The capital club struggled in the first half but scored in the second half to salvage a draw.
One of the issues that the Parisians had in this contest was in the midfield as one expert believes Ndombélé played a significant role in making life difficult for the counterparts in PSG’s midfield.
After Ndombélé was named Man of the Match in the draw, DAZN pundit Walid Acherchour had no answers for the former Spurs player, who is now back in Ligue 1 following his struggles with the Premier League side.
“He really dominated the duels against the PSG players, which shows just how good he is right now,” Acherchour said (h/t Sport.fr). “Physically, he’s back to an excellent level. With his talent, if he can keep up this level of fitness, there’s no doubt he would be part of the French team.”
PSG manager Luis Enrique will need to use this FIFA international break to determine what’s wrong with his team. The French giants have hit a wall regarding goal-scoring, and now, if their midfield is struggling, it doesn’t bode well for PSG.
