Former Northern Michigan defenseman Philip Beaulieu has signed. a one-year deal with the Kalamazoo Wings (ECHL), it was announced this past week.

Beaulieu spent this past season playing in Italy for Asiago (ICEHL) where he had one goal and four assists for five points in 20 regular season games.
Now returning to North America, Beaulieu will be suiting up for his third ECHL team since turning pro.
Having played for Northern Michigan from 2016-2020, Beaulieu compiled a stat-line of 26 goals and 92 assists for 118 points in 157 career games. During that time, he was named to the WCHA Second All-Star Team twice, WCHA First All-Star Team, as well as being named WCHA Defensive Player of the Year.
Before heading overseas for the first time last season, Beaulieu showed he can produce at the ECHL level – having put together a 38 point campaign with the Allen Americans (ECHL) in 2021-22. With Beaulieu heading to Kalamazoo, he is a good get for the Wings.
