Gazzetta: Juventus ready to offload Fagioli to De Zerbi in January

Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus are prepared to offload midfielder Nicolo Fagioli to Ligue 1 side Marseille during the January transfer window, as Roberto De Zerbi’s side are currently leading Napoli and several other sides in the hunt for the Italy international’s signature.

Fagioli is one of three players, along with Danilo and Samuel Mbangula, who Juventus could look to move on in January in order to raise funds for new acquisitions.

The Bianconeri are hoping to sign at least one new defender after the season-ending injuries to Bremer and Juan Cabal, while another forward to compete with Dusan Vlahovic is also on the agenda.

However, Juventus do not currently have too many funds to play with in January after a summer of heavy spending, and so will need to offload players before they bring any new ones in.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marseille are currently the most interested party in picking up Fagioli in the summer.

Friday’s report suggests that Juve are looking for a fee in the region of €25m-€30m to sell Fagioli permanently in January.

Marseille have reportedly already expressed an interest, and La Gazzetta claim that Fagioli would be interested in a move to team up with De Zerbi and his former Bianconeri teammate Adrien Rabiot.

The Pink Paper also suggests that Napoli remain interested, and that the Partenopei have a decent connection with Juventus through sporting director Giovanni Manna, who used to run the Juventus Next Gen outfit.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been mentioned, as have a few unnamed Premier League sides.
