ITA Southeast Regional Championships – Day 1

1. Competing for the first time since the Battle in the Bay Classic, Hayden Mulberry opened her first match at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships against Georgia Southern’s Amelie Rosadoro. A strong start to the first set put Mulberry in the driver’s seat early before running away with the opening frame 6-1. Rosadoro battled back throughout the second set, but all momentum swung Mulberry’s way late as she took a 6-1, 6-4 victory.

2. Sarah Branicki also back in action for the Bulldogs as she faced FSU’s Mary Boyce. Despite producing several strong games through two frames, Branicki fell 6-3, 6-2 in straight sets.

3. Tatum Buffington jumped into action for a second competition this season, where she opened Thursday’s action in the afternoon against Georgia State’s Sara Radojevic. A slow start saw Buffington drop the first set 6-2 before battling back to keep the second set close. Holding on to a 5-5 draw late in the second, Buffington came up short of leveling the match as she fell in straight sets 6-2, 7-5.

ITF W100 Macon
