Six Giants are inactive for Sunday’s Week 16 game at the Atlanta Falcons, headlined by Tim Boyle as the emergency third quarterback.
Boyle gets the designation, which allows him to enter the game if one of the two active quarterbacks are unable to play due to disqualification or injury, after completing 12 of 24 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown against an interception in last Sunday’s 35-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
New York’s five other inactive players are Greg Stroman, Dee Williams, Divaad Wilson, offensive guard Aaron Stinnie and defensive lineman Casey Rogers.
The Giants had outside linebacker Brian Burns (ankle/neck), cornerback Deonte Banks (rib), running back Tyrone Tracy (ankle), offensive lineman Austin Schlottmann (fibula) and inside linebacker Dyontae Johnson (ankle) as questionable on the final injury report, but they avoided the inactive list.
