The MSU Madness tradition marking the official start of Spartan basketball continued on Friday night, although this year’s event was done well before midnight.
To limit a conflict with the MSU football team, which had a game time of 9 p.m. Friday against Oregon, the Madness started at 6 p.m. at Breslin Center.
Players from the men’s and women’s teams signed autographs for fans. Then the action moved to the court, where the Spartans were introduced with hype and fanfare before scrimmaging.
