The winner of the 2024 Golden Boy Award for the most promising young player in Europe is Lamine Yamal, with other awards going to Kenan Yildiz, Michael Kayode and Atalanta.
The award was established by Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport and is voted for by a panel of experts from all over Europe, including representatives from Bild, L’Equipe, A Bola, France Football, Marca, Mundo Deportivo and The Times.
The trophies were handed out this evening at a gala event at the International Museum of the Automobile in Turin.
The first ever winner was Rafael van der Vaart of Ajax in 2003, while other editions went to Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, Mario Balotelli, Paul Pogba, Raheem Sterling, Kylian Mbappé, Matthijs de Ligt, Erling Haaland, Gavi and Jude Bellingham.

There is also the Golden Boy Web, voted for by the general public, won by Juventus and Turkey international Kenan Yildiz.
Other awards were handed out this evening, including to Atalanta President Antonio Percassi, while Jorge Mendes was named Golden Best Agent and Manchester City chief Txiki Begiristain was Golden Best Manager.
Best Italian Golden Boy went to Fiorentina defender Michael Kayode, with the Golden Best Italian Woman to Giulia Dragoni of Roma, Golden Player Women to Aitana Bonmatì and Golden Girl Absolute Best 2024 to Vicky Lopez of Barcelona.
A special Golden Player Man award went to Toni Kroos following his retirement.
