Haines City has become the first municipality in Polk County to introduce its own branded coffee, the Haines City Cafecito Roast.
Polk Roasters produces the new blend, described as having the flavor of “s’mores,” a combination of chocolate, marshmallow and graham crackers.
City officials introduced the coffee with free samples at Thursday’s Oh Christmas Tree Extravaganza at the Haines City Public Library.
“Coffee brings people together, and when people drink Cafecito Roast, we want them to think about Haines City being the best place to live, work, and play,” Haines City Manager James R. Elensky said in a news release. “Our foray into coffee is another way to distinguish the city and the community we serve.”
Polk Roasters, founded by Kevin Tison and Adam Arndt, previously branded a coffee for Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
The Haines City Cafecito Roast is available in 12-ounce bags, retailing at $19.95. It can be ordered at www.hainescitycoffee.com. Some of the proceeds support local nonprofit initiatives, the city said.
