Here is the Nevada men’s basketball team’s 2024-25 non-conference schedule

Date:

The Nevada men’s basketball team has completed its 11-game non-conference schedule, per reporting from Rocco Miller at Bracketeer.org.

The Wolf Pack will play 11 non-conference games in 2024-25 after playing 14 last season. That’s largely a result of the Mountain West going from an 18-game league schedule to 20 games, offering a full round-robin format. Nevada also got one additional non-conference game last season since it played a road contest at Hawaii.

Nevada opens the season with a four-game homestand, including the season opener against Sam Houston on Nov. 4. The Wolf Pack then hosts Washington (Nov. 9), Weber State (Nov. 13) and Santa Clara (Nov. 16) before playing in theCharleston Classic in South Carolina in late November. The Wolf Pack opens that tournament against SEC school Vanderbilt before playing either VCU or Seton Hall. It will end the three-game neutral-site event by playingOklahoma State, Miami, Drake or Florida Atlantic.

Nevada then returns home for a game against Washington State on Dec. 2 before its lone road game of the non-conference season, at Loyola Marymount on Dec. 7. Home games withSouth Dakota State (Dec. 11) and Texas Southern (Dec. 14) cap the non-league run. Texas Southern is led by former Nevada associate head coach Johnny Jones, who was on Eric Musselman’s staff for the 2018 Sweet 16 season.

Notable is the fact Nevada did not schedule a regular-season game against a non-Division I opponent this season, which has been standard fare for Mountain West teams. After earning back-to-back at-large bids into the NCAA Tournament, the Wolf Pack will aim for a third straight appearance in the Big Dance after a First Four loss to Arizona State in 2023 and a first-round loss to Dayton in 2024.

Nevada’s 2024-25 non-league schedule includes only three guaranteed games against top-100 KenPom teams from a season ago in Washington State (42nd) and Washington (60th), both of which are under the direction of first-year head coaches, plus its second game of theCharleston Classic against either Seton Hall (50th) or VCU (75th).

You can see the full non-league schedule, per Miller’s reporting, below. Nevada has not announced its non-league or MW schedule. Some MW teams have already released their leagues schedules this offseason. Here is Miller’s full list of MW non-conference games.
