How to get tickets for Bearcats basketball vs. Ohio State, UC’s Big 12 opener set

Before they head to Kansas City for Big 12 media day Oct. 23, the University of Cincinnati Bearcats basketball hosts Ohio State in an exhibition game on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at Fifth Third Arena.

This is the 14th meeting between the schools, which includes Cincinnati defeating the Buckeyes in the 1961 and 1962 national championship games. The two teams also opened their 2018 and 2019 seasons against each other, with the former being the first contest in the newly renovated Fifth Third Arena.

The CareSource Exhibition Game for Mental Health is part of UC’s Homecoming festivities with the football Bearcats taking on Arizona State the following day, Saturday, Oct. 19 at Nippert Stadium. Kickoff time for the football game has not yet been released.

Procedure for Cincinnati Bearcats season ticket members

Tickets go on sale for current season ticket members on Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. You have until Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. to claim your seats. Unclaimed seats will be released for others to purchase. For instructions on claiming your seats, please click gobearcats.com. Log into your account to buy tickets.

UCATS donors without season tickets

UCATS Donors will be able to purchase tickets on Thursday, Oct. 3 starting at noon. This will be a 24-hour presale for any tickets that aren’t claimed by season ticket members and any additional seats that are available. Donors will be sent a direct link on Thursday, Oct. 3 at noon.

Public sale for Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

:Pending availability, tickets for the event will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 4 at noon.

All proceeds from the CareSource Charity Exhibition will go toward raising awareness for mental health.

Big 12 basketball schedule set for Thursday release, Bearcats to open at Kansas State

After the Bearcats and Buckeyes tangle, some UC players will accompany Coach Wes Miller to Kansas City for Big 12 media day on Oct. 23. What is currently known is UC will travel to Kansas State to begin the Big 12 slate Dec. 30. Jon Rothstein of CBS posted the news and The Enquirer has confirmed.

Along with UC at Kansas State, Iowa State will be at Colorado, TCU at Arizona and Houston at Oklahoma State on that opening night. Dates and times for all Big 12 games are set to be released Thursday afternoon and The Enquirer will have the full Cincinnati Bearcats schedule.

Cincinnati Bearcats non-conference schedule

The non-conference schedule begins Nov. 4 at Fifth Third Arena against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and features the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout on UC’s floor on Dec. 14.

Before that, UC is at NKU on Nov. 19 and at Villanova on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The Big 12 will release the conference schedule Thursday.

Dates, times to come but here are your Cincinnati Bearcats Big 12 opponents

Kansas and Arizona will visit Fifth Third arena as well as Arizona State, Texas Tech and TCU as part of the home-only opponent slate of the schedule. This year will mark the first time Kansas played at UC since 1964 and the first time Texas Tech travels to Fifth Third Arena.

Away-only opponents are Colorado, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Houston and Central Florida.

The Bearcats will have home-and-home matchups against BYU, Baylor, Utah, West Virginia and Kansas State.
