How to watch Michigan vs. Xavier – NCAA Men’s Basketball (11/27/24) | Channel, stream, preview

Date:

FORT MYERS, FL — After a solid win in their first game in the Sunshine State, the Michigan Wolverines are searching for an upset over the Xavier Musketeers to grab a sweep at the Fort Myers Tip-Off.

The Wolverines began their run at the showcase with a solid victory over the Virginia TechHokies. The two teams went back and forth in the first half before Michigan pulled away in the second half, outscoring its opponent 41-30 to secure a 75-63 win.

Roddy Gayle Jr. was the star of the game for the maize and blue, leading the charge with 20 points. Will Tschetter was the only other Wolverine to hit double-digits, scoring 10 points in the winning effort. Michigan has now won each of its last four games.

Xavier has been on a tear since the onset of the season. Only two of their six wins have come by less than 10 points. One of those “closer” games came on Wednesday in their first game of the Fort Myers Tip-Off, when they outlasted South Carolina.

The Wolverines will try to knock off Xavier, ranked 22nd in the country. Last season, Michigan went 1-4 against ranked opponents.

This will be just the second-ever meeting between the Wolverines and Musketeers, with Xavier winning the first matchup in Nov. 2015 in Ann Arbor.
