HS GIRLS TENNIS: Pappas and Urban lead Holy Cross past Montrose

Sadie Pappas and Molly Urban won their singles matches in straight sets to lead Holy Cross past Montrose, 4-1, in a Lackawanna League girls tennis match on Wednesday afternoon.

Cara Evans remained undefeated at No. 1 singles with a win in straight sets without dropping a game.

Singles: Cara Evans (MON) over Hannah Pisarcik, 6-0, 6-0; Sadie Pappas (HC) over Erin Tillotson, 6-1, 6-0; Molly Urban (HC) over Harleigh Smith, 6-2, 6-1.

Doubles: Claire Polishan-Emma Woody (HC) over Aubrey Sodon-Anna Tillotson, 6-1, 6-0; Alessandro Lynn-Natalia Matrone (HC) over Lydia Sinkovich-Ziva Sodon, 5-7, 6-1, 10-4.

Records: HC 5-3, MON 1-6.
