HS GOLF: Powell propels Scranton Prep past Abington Heights

Cole Powell had a birdie on No. 5 and shot a 1-under 34 to lead Scranton Prep to a 145-152 victory over Abington Heights on Tuesday in a boys golf match at Glenmaura.

Ben Boyanoski added a birdie en route to an even-par 35, and Ben Walsh and Brendan Bell each shot a 38 for the Cavaliers.

Robert Munley had a birdie and shot 37, while Luke Swank also added a 37 for the Comets.

At Pine Hills front nine, Jason Posluszny had four birdies and shot an even-par 36 to lead Riverside to a victory over Western Wayne.

Jamie Chapman sunk three birdies and earned medalist honors with a 2-under 34 for the Wildcats.

Mason Rickert had two birdies and shot a 37, while Kyle Connor and Ethan Slocum each shot a 39 for the Vikings.

At Pine Hills front nine, Carter Sload shot a 41 to lead the Bucks to a victory over Knights.

Connor Mullaney had a birdie and shot a 42, while Athen DeNaples and Nate Grochowski also each shot a 42 for Dunmore.

Drew Leonori led Scranton with a 43.

Cooper Sipe had a birdie and shot a 47 for the Warriors.

Nick Andidora had a 52 for the Chargers.

Liza George added a 47, while Margot Grad and Kate Peters each had a 49 for the Lady Comets.

Chloe Lynch led the Classics with a 45.
