Illinois basketball 2024-25 schedule: See who, when Fighting Illini play this season

Illinois basketball reworked its roster and the Fighting Illini are set to embark on a season of high expectations after last season winning the Big Ten Conference Tournament and making the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

The conference released game dates Thursday, completing Illinois’ 2024-25 schedule. That Big Ten journey begins and ends in the state of Illinois — at Northwestern on Dec. 6 and at home vs. defending regular-season champion Purdue on March 7.

The Fighting Illini will travel to Ole Miss for a charity exhibition on Oct. 27. The regular season begins Nov. 4 against Eastern Illinois at State Farm Center.

Other schedule highlights include a Feb. 22 game against Duke at Madison Square Garden in New York, a road game against Final Four team Alabama, a Thanksgiving game in Kansas City against Arkansas, Big Ten west coast trip to face Oregon and Washington and visits from USC and UCLA.
