Imran Khan Infuriated By ‘Homewrecker’ Remarks For Lekha Washington, ‘Lekha And I Grew Close…’

Imran Khan recently broke silence on his relationship and also voiced his anger on Lekha being referred to as a ‘homewrecker.’ The Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na actor confirmed his divorce from Avantika in 2019 and spoke about the timeline of his relationship with Lekha.
Imran Khan Breaks Silence About His Divorce
In a conversation with Vogue India, the Delhi Belly actor revealed details about his divorce from Avantika. He said, “I’ve been out of the room for a very long time. In my absence, it has been easy to speak about me. The speculation that I’m romantically involved with Lekha Washington is true. I’m divorced and have been separated since February 2019.” Imran Khan married Avantika Malik in 2011 and welcomed Imara, their daughter in 2014. Rumours about the couple’s breakup first surfaced in 2019 but no confirmation came from either of the parties.
Imran Khan Furios Over Remarks On Lekha
Imran Khan also addressed rumours about his relationship with Lekha and said he was furios about people calling her a homewrecker. He said, “There’s this narrative of Lekha being a homewrecker, which infuriates me because not only is it misogynistic but it also takes away my agency as an individual.” Imran spoke about the timeline of their relationship and expressed, “Lekha and I grew close during the lockdown, a year and a half after I had been separated from Avantika and almost a year after she had separated from her partner, not husband as it has been widely reported.”
