India vs Australia Live Cricket Score, 2nd Test Day 1 (India National Cricket Team vs Australia National Cricket Team Match Scorecard):

Shubman Gill shows his class with the bat despite the early dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal which had India under pressure. KL Rahul meanwhile has opted to start quietly and is yet to score his first run of the match.

Rohit Sharma is back and India has chosen to bat first for the pink ball Test in Adelaide. India won the toss and chose to bat first. They made three changes to their playing 11 with Rohit, Shubman Gill and Ravichandran Ashwin coming into the side in place of Dhruv Jurel, Devdutt Padikkal and Washington Sundar.

After a remarkable turnaround in Perth, India will look to extend their lead in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with another win against Pat Cummins Australia. The challenge now toughens for the touring party as it’s yet to win a day-night Test match in Australia.

The last time India faced Australia in a pink-ball Test match, it turned out to be a forgettable affair. Despite taking a first-innings lead, Virat Kohli-led India were folded to 36 which stands as their lowest total in the history of the longest format of the game. It was also the last Test match for Virat Kohli as captain Down Under.

Four years later, India are back again at the Adelaide Oval with a mix of youth and experience to take on an injury-stricken Australia. While the visitors are bolstered by the returns of Rohit Sharm and Shubman Gill, Australia will miss the services of Josh Hazlewood.

Here’re the Playing XIs:

Australia: Nathan McSweeney, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Mitch Marsh, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Scott Boland.

India: Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant(wk), Rohit Sharma(c), Nitish Reddy, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harshit Rana, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
