They made three changes to their playing 11 with Rohit, Shubman Gill and Ravichandran Ashwin coming into the side in place of Dhruv Jurel, Devdutt Padikkal and Washington Sundar.

The last time India faced Australia in a pink-ball Test match, it turned out to be a forgettable affair. Despite taking a first-innings lead, Virat Kohli-led India were folded to 36 which stands as their lowest total in the history of the longest format of the game.
