International manager makes ‘TERRIFIC’ Conor Bradley Liverpool claim as he IMPRESSES in new role

Date:

Conor Bradley has earned plaudits from his Northern Ireland manager, who made a bold prediction about the Liverpool youngster.

Liverpool players have enjoyed a successful start to the international period.

With Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo scoring for their respective countries last night, it seems the Reds are really making their mark and the hope will be they continue this form when returning to domestic football next weekend.

But one performance which has flown under the radar involves one of Liverpool’s youngest up and coming talents.

Conor receives his plaudits

Conor Bradley recently burst his way into the Northern Ireland first team, and it looks like he is set to stay there for a long time.

The right-back has appeared as a substitute in every game for the Reds this season, replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold each time.

There is a real sense that Bradley will be Trent’s long term replacement as discussions about the scousers future at the club remain in doubt.

At the back end of last season, the young Northern Irishman was phenomenal, with his main highlight being a memorable goal against Chelsea at Anfield.

Last night, Conor participated in Northern Ireland’s opening match in the Nations League against Luxembourg. A routine performance saw them beat the European minnows 2-0 with Liverpool’s number 84 completing the full 90 minutes.

Interestingly, he played in midfield for Northern Ireland, rather than his usual full-back role at Liverpool. But the 21-year-old still managed to catch the eye in the new role and earned praise from his manager.

Michael O’Neill was full of praise for the young man, commending his attitude and work rate.

“He’s a terrific player, and the attributes are there for everyone to see” O’Neill said as per Belfast Telegraph. “Conor will go to a very, very high level in the game. It’s game time that he needs and he’s at a club where that’s not easy to get. But when he comes here, he embraces it.”

Conor is certainly one for the future. Currently, second in the pecking order at Liverpool, he will be itching too challenge Trent for the permanent right-back position.

However, with Alexander-Arnold’s contract situation being unclear, Bradley might find himself starting in the first team quicker and more regularly than he thinks.
