Simone Inzaghi said Inter are ‘working on eliminating some of those errors’ in defence as they host Parma and expects the Scudetto race to be ‘a long campaign.’
It kicks off at San Siro at 17.30 GMT.
The Nerazzurri had been pushing for the top of the table, but last week’s trip to Fiorentina was cut short by the medical emergency to Edoardo Bove.
“On Sunday evening at the Franchi, we all experienced a frightening night. Now we know Edoardo is OK, I gave the lads a day off and we tried to prepare for this game in the best way possible,” Inzaghi told DAZN.
Inter therefore have a game in hand and are preparing for Tuesday’s Champions League showdown with Bayer Leverkusen.
Inzaghi seeking Inter solidity
While they have not yet conceded a single goal in Europe this season, it has been a different story in Serie A.
“We are trying to work on eliminating some of those errors and this will be another important test, because Parma are very dangerous on the counter-attack, so we need the utmost focus,” added Inzaghi.
Inter had been in joint second place with Fiorentina, Atalanta and Lazio, but with the head-to-head called off and likely not rescheduled until February, they are playing catch-up.
“Atalanta and Napoli are doing well, but so are we, so are several other teams. It is only Week 15, so this will be a long campaign for all of us.”
The Nerazzurri are also preparing for the 2025 edition of the Club World Cup, where they have been drawn against River Plate, Monterrey and Urawa Red Diamonds.
