In Tuesday’s update to the USA TODAY Sports Women’s College Basketball Coaches poll, the Iowa Hawkeyes stayed put at No. 22.
Iowa’s lone contest was an 84-63 romp over Purdue to pick up their first Big Ten win of the season.
The Hawkeyes will have an excellent opportunity to rise in the rankings next week as the program plays a road game against Penn State on Jan. 1, as well as a home clash against highly-ranked Maryland on Jan. 5.
As for the remainder of the Big Ten, UCLA still remains undefeated and atop the coaches poll as the country’s No. 1 team.
The Bruins are followed by Big Ten foes USC at No. 5, Maryland at No. 7, Ohio State at No. 9, and Michigan State at No. 21.
The lone Big Ten program dropping out of the top 25 rankings from last week was Michigan, who suffered a 78-58 loss to USC on Sunday.
The Wolverines received 30 points this week and were joined in the receiving votes category by Illinois and Nebraska.
