Iowa football brought some special guests for its Homecoming game against Northwestern.

Early in the second quarter at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 26, the Hawkeyes honored the 2023-24 Iowa women’s basketball team on the field during a timeout. Among the group were Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall.

The trio also attended their former team’s practice earlier in the week.

The Hawkeyes women’s program was already highlighted on-field this season as former head coach Lisa Bluder received a standing ovation during Iowa’s season-opening game against Illinois State.

With the departures of Bluder, Clark, Martin and others, the team will look significantly different during the 2024-25 season under new head coach Jan Jensen.
