‘It Was Catastrophic’ – Ex-PSG Star Warned Real Madrid Players About Playing With Kylian Mbappé

Date:

A former Paris Saint-Germain star has reportedly warned certain players on the current Real Madrid squad about Kylian Mbappé. The Frenchman is with new teammates as he adapts to the Spanish side but one standout noted that he’s a difficult person to deal with.

When Mbappé arrived at PSG in 2017, he did so alongside Neymar Jr., and while in the early years, both appeared to be good friends and teammates, their relationship might have soured over the years.

Eventually, Neymar would leave in 2023 as Mbappé would be the lone superstar at PSG during the 2023-24 season with Lionel Messi also leaving last year. Neymar and Mbappe played together on 136 occasions for PSG and combined for 54 goals between 2017 and 2023.

As a result, he’s familiar with the kind of teammate the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner can be. The veteran forward has reportedly warned fellow Brazilians Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Eder Militao that playing alongside the French international could sometimes be “catastrophic.”

Journalist Cyril Hanouna reports that Neymar contacted Real Madrid’s Brazilian players to give them a heads-up about Mbappe.

“The Brazilians [at Real Madrid] are friends with Neymar,” Hanouna said on Europe 1. “It has always been a war between Neymar and Mbappe. Neymar has sent a paper about Mbappe to the Brazilians, telling them that it was catastrophic, that it was hell.”
