Nicolo Barella, Federico Dimarco, Lautaro Martinez, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will all be back in the Inter Milan starting eleven against Lazio.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Inter face a huge match in the context of their season next Monday.
The Nerazzurri are coming off the back of a big setback in the form of a loss to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League. But they can hardly dwell on that.
Inter’s return to Serie A action comes against a direct rival for the title.
Inter travel to Rome to face Lazio. They are currently level on points with the Biancocelesti, albeit with a game in hand.
There is a strong feeling that Monday’s match could have a decisive impact in the title race, and not just for Inter and Lazio. Atalanta, Napoli, and Fiorentina will certainly be watching closely too.
Barella, Dimarco, Lautaro & Mkhitaryan To Start For Inter Vs Lazio
Against Leverkusen on Tuesday, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi made a few changes.
In attack, Mehdi Taremi started. And in midfield, another summer signing started in the form of Piotr Zielinski, as did Davide Frattesi.
And then on the left flank, Carlos Augusto got the nod over Federico Dimarco.
This has been somewhat par for the course for Inter and Inzaghi this season.
All of those players have found opportunities easier to come by in Europe than in the league.
But in Serie A, Tuttosport, Inzaghi has no doubts about the team he’s going to play.
The newspaper anticipate that captain Lautaro Martinez will lead the line as usual, with Taremi dropping to the bench.
In midfield, Zielinski and Frattesi will drop out. In their place, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Barella will start.
And at left-wingback. Dimarco will take over from Augusto.
