It’s time to tip-off with Louisville women’s basketball

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It’s time to get tickets to the annual Louisville women’s basketball Tip-Off Luncheon.

The luncheon takes place Tuesday, Oct. 8 in the Grand Ballroom of the Galt House Hotel. The event starts at noon, but doors will open at 11:30 a.m.

Head coach Jeff Walz and his 2024-25 team begin the season in Paris, France at the Aflac Oui-Play against UCLA on Monday, Nov. 4. The Cards home opener is Friday, Nov. 8 against Southern Indiana at the KFC Yum! Center.

UofL is coming off its 14th-consecutive 20-win season, the fifth-longest active streak in the country. Last year also saw the Cards win the 1,000th-program win last year against Duke, making the Cards the 27th team all-time to achieve the milestone.

Walz welcomes back six players from last year’s team and will have nine newcomers, eight of which are freshmen. According to a release from the school, UofL’s freshman class is ranked No. 6 overall by ESPN and four of the incoming freshmen were ranked in the Top-100 recruits by ESPN.

Tickets for the Tip-Off Luncheon are $45 each or tables of 10 are $450, and can be bought online. Fans interested in buying season tickets for women’s basketball can visit the team’s site online.
