Jacksonville State men’s basketball schedule includes matchups with Missouri, South Alabama

Date:

Jacksonville State men’s basketball released its full nonconference schedule on Wednesday, with the Gamecocks set to face another Southeastern Conference team and host five nonconference games at Pete Mathews Coliseum.

Jax State will begin its season against Division III LaGrange College before playing at Mountain West Conference foe Air Force.

The matchup against Georgia State on Nov. 13 will mark the first of three Sun Belt Conference foes on the schedule, including trips to Coastal Carolina (Nov. 17) and South Alabama (Dec. 8).

Jax State will take part in the Boardwalk Battle tournament at Daytona Beach from Nov. 21-23, drawing American Athletic Conference foe East Carolina in its first-round game. The Gamecocks will face either Stetson or Toledo in the next round.

The scheduled trip to Missouri on Dec. 17 marks the fifth time in six seasons Jax State will play an opponent from the Southeastern Conference, which includes three games against Alabama and one against Tennessee.

Conference USA has already released the full lineup of conference games for the 2024-25 season.

Jacksonville State finished last season 14-18 overall and 6-10 in Conference USA play, falling to Florida International in the first round of the Conference USA tournament.
