Jersey needed less than three overs to beat the Czech Republic by nine wickets to keep up their perfect record in the European Cricket Championships.
The islanders’ victory was their fifth out of five games in a rain-affected Challenger tournament that has seen games with Germany, Austria and hosts Spain called off.
It means Jersey have reached Saturday’s knockout stage and are second in their group, although they have played a game less than leaders Germany.
In a weather-reduced seven overs-a-side match Chloe Greechan and Grace Wetherall each took a wicket as the Czechs were held to just 29-2.
In reply, Analise Merritt hit 17 not out including two fours and a match-winning six as Jersey reached 35-1 off 2.5 overs,
It was their second big win over the Czechs having needed just 10 balls to chase down their target of 22 when the sides played one another on Tuesday.
