Juventus could sacrifice Mbangula to fund Premier League raid – report

Saturday’s reports suggest that Juventus could look to sell Next Gen graduate Samuel Mbangula in order to fund a series of moves in the January transfer window.

Mbangula could be sacrificed to fund Juventus’s January window

The Bianconeri are in the market for at least one new defender and ideally a striker as well, and have been linked with a number of players in the Premier League, including the likes of Tottenham’s Radu Dragusin, Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, Fulham’s Joachim Andersen and Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee.

However, as Juve spent significantly in the summer, there is little room left in the budget to play with in January, even for loan deals, unless other players are moved on first.

According to reports from Tuttosport, Mbangula is one of the players that Juventus could look to move on in order to make way for new additions.

The 20-year-old scored on his senior debut in the 3-0 win over Como on the opening weekend of the 2024-25 season, and has recently earned his first call-up to the Belgium national team this month.

Juventus have a reliable track record of selling Next Gen graduates for profit, such as the summer sales of Enzo Barrenechea and Samuel Iling-Junior to Aston Villa, Matias Soule to Roma and Dean Huijsen to Bournemouth, who brought in combined fees in excess of €60m.
