Juventus Striker Tips His Hat Off For Inter Milan Captain: “The Best Last Season, I Have Great Respect For Him”

Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic admits Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez was on a whole different level last season.

The Nerazzurri led the Serie A table from start to finish in a historic campaign that yielded their second star.

And likewise, Martinez led the Serie A goalscoring charts from the very start and never looked back.

The Argentine didn’t only win the Capocanniere Award, but also the Serie A MVP of the Season Award.

For his part, Vlahovic came second in the scoring charts, albeit he wasn’t particularly close to catching the Nerazzurri skipper.

Hence, the Serbian bomber admits his foe was the best throughout the season, while expressing his respect and admiration.

“From Lautaro, I would take his body stance. He is deadly in this aspect,” said Vlahovic when asked to build his ideal striker during an interview with DAZN via FcInter1908.

“Last year, he was the best, and rightly so. I have great respect for him.”

The Bianconeri striker also revealed what he would love to steal from Man City star Erling Haaland.

“From Haaland, I would take the way he attacks the opposition’s box. When he makes a run, he is incredibly difficult to stop.

“That is both for his pace and his strong physique.”

When it comes to the clinical touch, Vlahovic couldn’t separate between Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, Barcelona veteran Robert Lewandowski and Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen.

“I would also steal the finishing of Kane, Lewandowski and Osimhen,” concluded the 24-year-old.
