LAWRENCE — Kansas basketball will play its Big 12 Conference opener on Dec. 31 at home against West Virginia.
The No. 7 Jayhawks (9-2) have yet to lose this season inside Allen Fieldhouse. The Mountaineers (9-2) are thriving with first-year head coach Darian DeVries. It’s a matchup between a preseason Big 12 favorite and another league squad that could contend more than some might have thought.
