Kevin Danso diagnosed with irregular heartbeat during Roma medical

Date:

More details are starting to emerge regarding Kevin Danso’s failed medical with Roma.

The Austrian defender’s transfer to the Italian capital was officially called off by Lens after the player failed his tests with Roma.

After landing in Italy, Danso underwent a series of tests which he failed.

Despite reports of further tests being scheduled tomorrow, Lens announced on their official website that the player would be returning to France where he would be reassessed by the medical team there.

According to Teleradiostereo journalist Emanuele Sabatino, the reason for this abrupt ending is due to the diagnosis of a ventricular extrasystole – irregular heartbeat – during a cardiovascular MRI.

As a result, Italian authorities’ strict protocol would not grant the player the necessary fitness certificate to play for Roma.
