Kings Defensemen Has Successful Ankle Surgery

Date:

The Los Angeles Kings have provided another injury update on their defensemen Drew Doughty.

Doughty had successful surgery today to repair his fractured ankle and remains out month-to-month.

He was hurt last week after an awkward fall into the boards puck battle with Golden Knights forward Tanner Pearson. Which saw him go feet first into the boards and not get back up.

The Kings initially feared that their star blue liner was going to miss the entire year. However, the injury was less severe than they first thought, and he’ll be back likely before the 4-Nations Face-off in February 2025.
