Kings Trimmed Roster To 34, Who Remains?

Date:

The Los Angeles Kings trimmed their roster by 23 players, leaving just 34 players left on their roster. The question is, though, who remains?

Well, first let’s review who was cut by the Kings.

Loaned to the Ontario Reign (AHL):

Angus Booth, Martin Chromiak, Jakub Dvorak, Aatu Jamsen, Kaleb Lawrence, Francesco Pinelli, Erik Portillo.

Placed on Waivers for the purpose of being assigned to the Ontario Reign: (All Have Cleared)

Koehn Ziemmer, Glenn Gawdin, Joe Hicketts, Tyler Madden, Reilly Walsh.

*Jeff Malott was placed on waivers today for the purpose of being assigned to the Ontario Reign *

Released From Training Camp Try Outs:

Parker Berge (ATO), Bryce Brodzinski, Jacob Doty (AHL Contract), Shawn Element, Charles Hudon (AHL Contract), Dru Krebs, Jack Millar, Patrick Moynihan, Quinn Olson (ATO), Luke Rowe (ATO), Jake Wise.

Now, let’s take a look at who remains at Kings’ training camp.

Forwards:

Quinton Byfield, Phillip Danault, Samuel Fagemo, Kevin Fiala, Warren Foegele, Samuel Helenius, Tanner Jeannot, Arthur Kaliyev (LTIR), Adrian Kempe, Anze Kopitar, Alex Laferriere, Andre Lee, Trevor Lewis, Trevor Moore, John Parker-Jones, Jack Studnicka, Akil Thomas, Alex Turcotte, Taylor Ward.

Defense:

Mikey Anderson, Kyle Burroughs, Brandt Clarke, Drew Doughty (LTIR), Joel Edmundson, Andreas Englund, Vladislav Gavrikov, Caleb Jones, Cole Krygier, Jacob Moverare, Jordan Spence.

Goalies:

Pheonix Copley, Darcy Kuemper, Dryden McKay, David Rittich

Although the Kings forward group consists of 20 players, Arthur Kaliyev will likely be moved to LTIR when the season begins. As well as Drew Doughty on the blue line, which brings their defense count down to 10.

An NHL team can carry 23 players as long as they are cap-compliant, which means the Kings will only need to cut nine more players from their roster.

My predictions for the nine players cut are:

John Parker-Jones, Jack Studnicka, Samuel Helenius, Andre Lee Taylor Ward, Cole Krygier, Jacob Moverare, Dryden McKay and Pheonix Copley.
