49ers running back Isaac Guerendo may still be available for Thursday night’s game against the Rams.
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said in his Monday news conference that Guerendo suffered a foot sprain in Sunday’s win over the Bears and may still be able to play.
“We’ll evaluate him over the next few days and see if he’s got a shot [for Thursday],” Shanahan said, via Lindsey Pallares of the team’s website.
Guerendo inherited the 49ers top running back role after Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason both suffered injuries against the Bills in Week 13. Guerendo totaled 128 yards from scrimmage with a pair of rushing touchdowns against Chicago.
Offensive lineman Ben Bartch is likely headed to injured reserve after suffering a high-ankle sprain during Sunday’s game.
Defensive lineman Nick Bosa (hip/oblique) and left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) will be evaluated throughout the week, with the possibility of returning for Thursday.
Linebacker Dee Winters, safety Malik Mustapha, and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles are considered day-to-day. Offensive lineman Aaron Banks cleared concussion protocol and should be able to play.
San Francisco’s full Monday injury report is due out later on Monday.
